M525 Powewer Plus - Review
We are going to review a budget friendly, but “Good Quality” mouse that is perfect for personal and work use.
This is a great mouse for work as it is precise and very responsive. The Ergonomic design will allow you to focus on your work without feeling any stress that other inexpensive mice may put on your wrist.
The soft rubber grips makes it perfect for a natural comfort. Also expect the M525 to work great on smooth and glossy surfaces. Now let’s talk about Durability. Anticipate this mouse to last you for years, I got the same model 3 years ago and I will not change it for anything as it still works like the first day I got it . The battery expectancy for this mouse is of 36 months. This is thanks to the On-Off switch and smart sleep mode save power. Most of the outside is made of a durable plastic with a glossy finish. It will be compatible with most versions of Windows, Mac OS, Linux, and Chrome OS. But keep in mind that some of the features like the back/forward page button will not work on a MAC.
The left and right click buttons are not too soft which will allow you for a precise click. The micro precise scroll wheel will work like a charm allowing you to navigate with easy and if you have a long page. You can always click on it and it will activate the whole mouse to work as the scroll feature as the page will move as you slide the mouse Up/Down. My favorite is the back/forward page buttons. When browsing the internet this will allow you to go back to a previews page and return to the page where you left off in a matter of seconds. When you are ready to take your mouse, you can pop the top cover by sliding the mechanical lock on the bottom and you can hide the unifying receiver inside. I won’t even mention how to change your batteries as this mouse is supposed to have a battery life of up to three years. Now that we mentioned the unifying receiver, it will allow you to connect up to six devices. Also it will function within a range of 10 meters. The light indicator will let you know when the battery if getting low by turning red or it will light green to let you know the battery is good.
This is meant to be ergonomic, but this definitely will not be your ultimate ergonomic mouse. This will also not be your best gaming mouse and the optical sensor will not work on a glass surface.
I have used the same mouse for over three years and it is still holding strong. I have used it at work and at home and let me tell you, what a great mouse is this. I got a second unit because I found a good deal on it and the unifying receiver allows me to keep one unit at home and another one in my work bag.
