Samsung Galaxy Note 4 - Five Reasons I still use it in 2017
In early January I was forced to return the Note 7 and decide to go back to my previous device, The Note 4. Today we are going to go over the five main reasons why I still use a Note 4 in 2017 and why it is still worth it!
Screen Size
The Note 4 still has an awesome 5.7 inches Super AMOLED Screen which was probably one of the best screens at the time the Note 4 was released. It is still great for watching videos, surfing the internet, and multitasking. The bigger screen size gives you a smoother view experience, allowing you to keep your phone at a distance and still not miss any details. When surfing the web you are able to navigate easily in-between multiple tabs. Larger font means you can read and find what you are looking for faster. Did I said multitasking? You can pop-up multiple windows and move them around as you need. With the Multi window option, I am able to catch up with twitter and YouTube at the same time.
Stylus Pen
There is not another phone company that makes a phone with a stylus pen as good as the Samsung Note Series. The stylus is perfect to jog down quick notes when you are on the go. Is also awesome when you need the precise pinpoint while playing a mobile game or simply editing an image. With the Air command you can take a quick snap of an image and share it in a matter of seconds. When you don’t need it, it slides right inside the phone and you won’t even know is there.
Removable Battery and Adaptive Fast Charging
Seems that Removable batteries are becoming a thing of the past. The Note 4 is the last model in the Note Series that allow you to remove the battery. I still get at least half a day out of a fully charged battery when I am using it heavily. I love the fact that I can have a couple of batteries fully charge as a backup, something that was lacking on the Note7. The Note4 may be over two years old, but it came equipped with Adaptive fast charging. Adaptive fast charging works great and will get you back on the go quickly. It should get you 50% of the battery charge within 30 minutes. I have to point out that it does lack the wireless charging capability, which it was nice to have on the Note7.
Finger Scanner
Is great for increased security and convenience. It allows you to unlock your screen by swiping your finger. It is also compatible with some applications which will allow you to use the feature instead of entering a password. Almost every phone releases in late 2016 came with this feature, which give the Note 4 good arguments to be a good phone in 2017
Camera
Front Facing camera is not that good, but the back camera will give you an awesome 16 MP
The camera will give you a great video and picture quality. HDR feature which will allow you to record videos and take pictured at a much better quality. The only downside is that it not that great in low light. You still get some cool features like Selective Focus, Slow Motion and Fast Motion to mention a few modes.
I can’t wait for the Samsung S8 comes out in April. In the mean time I was able to find my happy place with the Note 4. Now is your turn to tell me what do you think about the Note4, do you think this phone is too outdated in 2017?
