LG Aristo Review

On this blog we are going to do a high level review on the LG Aristo phone. This is a popular budget friendly phone with MetroPCS and T-Mobile.

First let’s get started with the Slim and sleek design. The silver back cover has an upscale look and feel. It is made out of plastic, but the quality almost makes it look and feel like aluminum. A very similar silver color wraps to the front bezels making this a very cool phone to own just by the looks.

Let’s cover what is inside the back cover real quick. It comes with a 2410 mah battery which is decent for this phone. Also, expect to use a Nano-SIM card on this phone. It will come with 16GB internal memory, with up to 9.8 GB free for the user it supports up to 32GB of external memory via MicroSD card. It will have 1.4 GHz quad-core processor, which will be good for average use, but don’t expect to do heavy gaming and heavy multitasking on this phone.Last but not least, expect this phone to come with the Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.

Next let’s talk about the features on the buttons and the positioning. Seems 2017 is the year to get rid of all button in the front screen. Here you will find the power button in the back, right below the camera which should be easily accessible for the index fingers. Do keep in mind that this a budget phone, and it does not come with finger scanner. Your Home, back, and multi-window button will be digitalized and you will be able to see them once the phone is on. On the left side you have the usual buttons to control the sound. When the phone is locked you can double tap the volume up button to get the QuickMemo+ App and you can do the same with the volume down button to start the camera. The Cameras also does not disappoint. The 13 MP rear-facing Camera with autofocus feature, will give you decent high-resolution images and videos. It also comes with a nice 5 MP front facing Camera. This won’t be the greatest camera, but is good enough for a phone with this price point.

The speaker is located in the back of the phone, which makes this a bad position. The speaker itself is loud enough, but if you lay the phone in a flat surface the speaker is blocked resulting in a decrease of the sound level. Don’t expect the greatest sound quality out of the LG Aristo, as mentioned it is loud enough, but it does lack the base and clarity that you get from the more expensive phones. On the brighter side, it does come with an audio jack input, which is located right next to the Micro USB port.

This is going to be a smaller phone with a 5.0” screen with a 720 X 1280 screen resolution. It does have a slight curved glass design on the edges.

I have used this phone for a few days and in my opinion, the bottom line is that this will be a great phone for someone who does not care to have the best and ultimate phone. This will get you on the go in the daily bases allowing you to check your email, surf the internet, and catchup with social media to mention a few. If you own an upscale phone and you always need to have a phone with you, this will be a great backup phone to have around.
