BE5 Borofone - Running Wireless Earphone

Before we get started I want to give a shout-out to Borofone for sending us the BE5 Running wireless earphones to be reviewed on this channel. This particular model will offer the ear wing design, water resistance, magnetic attraction, and good sound quality.

This type of earphones are perfect for the gym and outdoor activities. This earphones don’t just have a high-end look and feel, they are actually well made. The aluminum case allows for additional protection and longer durability. Also the rubberized ear wing are made of good quality.

When I am working out, my biggest frustration is when I get a pair of headsets that are constantly falling off my ear. With the BE5 wireless earphone I did not had that problem. After finding the right earpiece size caps and adjusting the wires using the cable clips, I was able to get through my workouts without any inconveniency. If you decide to get a set, I highly recommend you use the cable clips to balance the weight from the inline control.

The ear wing design allows you to rotate the shark fin to best fit your inner ear. Also the inclined in-ear design allows for a better fit for the ear canal. This is supposed to increase comfort and in-ear grip for longer usability.

The inline control will have the volume rockers, which are pretty tactile and responsive. Within the volume rockers you are also able to manage the track control. Right in-between you will have the multifunction control, which will give you the usual functionality. It will consist of pausing/playing a track, answering/rejecting/or ending a call, using the Bluetooth pairing mode, and turning on/off/ the earphones. The microphone will be right next to the volume controls and on the side you have the micro-usb charging port.

Another important thing to consider is the charging time and battery life. On the BE5s expect to get a charging time of 2hrs, the music playtime is 4hrs, and standby time should be good for about a week.

They will have the Bluetooth V4.2 technology, which is supposed to give you a better sound quality at longer ranges. While testing them with different devices I got different results, when using the Note4 I was getting very short distance range of about only about two meters. When I tested them out with the new Samsung galaxy S8+ which has the V5 Bluetooth technology, I literally walked away over ten meters without losing quality or signal.

The sound quality is good, you will get a clear sound and a good hint of base. You can actually get a great combination of clear sound and bass at the right sound level.

This is not the type of earphones you want to go for a swim with, but you should be fine if you go for a run in a rainy day or if you just sweat a lot. Also the magnetic attraction, will allow for a secure and user-friendly portability when not in use. Even though they are great for listening to music, they are not the best if you are watching a video as there may be a small delay between the video and the sound.
