WIMIUS T6 Projector
The Wimius T6 is a budget friendly projector that can provide a good display quality experience without making you spend a lot of money. My name and we are going to review this projector, while we cover the most important specs.
The projector comes in a black or white color with a glossy finish, and is built with a modern design . It is a larger compare to the average projector with average measurements of 13” by 10” and 4.5 high. This it an LCD projector, and by design they tend to be a little bigger especially in the budget category.
Inputs is something this projector does not lack
In the back it will have two HDMI ports, two USB ports, a VGA port, and additional options for video/audio under AV/component ports.
It is worth mentioning that if you use the projector’s User interface while connecting via USB it will play a variety of media formats like video, music, pictures, and even txt files. Also through the USB port it will allow you to connect a smartphone/ tablet with the appropriate cable which is not included
Having all the ports on the back, allows for better cable management, giving you a cleaner look on the sides and in the front.What you will find on the sides, are a dual set of speakers, which will not sound super loud, but they will get the job done while you find a good set quality sound system.
Something else that is not super loud, but you may notice are the dual fans in the back that help keep the projector cool. This is something that may be a deal breaker for some, but definitely just something that many others may get used too. Honestly, once I start watching a movie or playing a console game I forget all about the fan noise, specially if I have the external sound system connected.
The lens focus ring is in the front and is very easy to adjust, specially if you have the projector in a shelve.
A couple of other things worth mentioning regarding the physical design as most projectors, it will have an adjustable leg in the front and a knob in the back to adjust the keystone manually up to 15 degrees. If you want to hang it in the ceiling, it will also come with the screws and preset mounting brackets which are covered by plastic caps.
The built-in control panel on the top of the projector will allow you to access the main user functionality of the projector. The remote is user friendly, it has dedicated buttons for easy usability if you are playing media directly using the projectors User Interface. The bulb’s life expectancy of this projector is about 20,000 hours
Display Quality and brightness
Now let’s talk about the display quality and the brightness.
It will not be as sharp and clear as some of the higher end projectors, but you will still get a good display quality.
The colors are vivid and in my opinion are displayed pretty well. Projectors are meant to be used in a dark room, and this one does a great job displaying in the dark and it even does an outstanding job displaying in a lighted room. That is all because of the 3300 Lumens on this projector that gives you a little brighter light compared to many other budget friendly projectors.
You do have to constantly manually adjust the image settings like the brightness and contrast settings depending on the type of content you are watching .
Good thing that it does come with a variety of predefined settings that will meet almost all types of display contents.
This projector will allow you to have a display size of 40 inches and up to 150 inches. If you want to look at the Screen size vs the display distance I will leave the numbers in the description below.
My fav part of this projector is that I am able to adjust the screen size without having to move the projector back and forward. For example, I wanted to move the projector all the way in the back of the room which is about 3.5 meters away from the display wall and it was giving me a display size of about 100”, but I only had a wall display size of 84”. This feature allowed me to adjust the height and the width of the display image making it a perfect display setting...but it will still reflect a little bit of light on the outside area It will display 16:9 ratio, but is also compatible with the 4:3 ratio.It displays in 1080P with a native resolution of 1280X800., which it will not be true 1080P display, but it will still look pretty good. This projector is great to watch movies and playing video games in a larger screen at a budget price. Talking about price, this projector will have a price tag of $230 at the time of this video.
